                      My Pirivena is situated in a rural setting of Hurikaduwa in a very beautiful village in Kundasale, in kandy Distric in the central pronince.It is Responsible for
 having  a history of more than 103 yeras this temple was established as ``Udumbararamaya`` in 1910 and the mots venerable thelipehe seelawasha annunayaka thero was the fonder of it he was the pioneer monk of the temple and the service done by him for more than 60 years rendered to the Buddhist Education is unparalleled  

                 in 1964, it was declared as ``sri vidyasagara maha pirivena`` after the passing away of the annuyaka maha thero in 1970, all the responsibilities of the privena were taken by an arudite monk ,the most Venerable Napana Pemasiri ,the chief priesthood of the sri lanka Ramangha maha Nikaya, who has been doing a surpassing service with a great vision, paving the way for a resurgence of spreading Buddhist Education throughout the country. As a  result of untiring effort of him, this pirivena has been a leading institute for both clergy and laymen.  

  When we looking back and forth, our pirivena has gone through a vast development. The building facilitionn of the pirivena brings out the evidence to make it proved. The procedure of the development of the pirivena for about 103 years is as mentioned below.

My pirivena has been a leading pirivena in the central Province. The Principle of it is ven. Vihara bulankulame Upawansa thero and there 9nt teachers.  Today there are more than sixty indiwiduals both clergies and laymen have been having Complete Buddhist education from the pirivena and as a result of it, many educated persons have been produced to the society

Dhamma school.     Tobay my Dhamma schooa has been a leading Dhamma school in the Central Province. The Chief patron of it is Ven. Dhammasiri thero and there are 30 teachers work under his guidance. In addition, there are more than 800 students having Dhamma Education. The service done by the Dhamma school is surpassing and so it has been a Center of providing students to the society with Knowledge attitudes and skills.

    A gread service is provided to the society by my pirivena. There are more than 400 family contributors and all of them  were  served by the temple without having ang diserimination. mean while the socities  connected with the pirivena also provide a coneiderble service to the whole  Village. These are the  soceities which are connected with the temple.
